Whatchamacallit

  1. I don’t care what you call it.
  2. Marriage or civil union;
  3. Partnership sounds great.
  4. Just as long as I can love
  5. The one that was meant for me
  6. And he or she can love me
  7. The way that was meant to be.
  8.  
  9. Don’t you worry what we do in the bedroom.
  10. We didn’t ask you to watch.
  11. We don’t hurt each other.
  12. We might be adults, we might be kids,
  13. But not those two together.
  14. We’re not promiscuous or unfaithful,
  15. Any more than straight couples.
  16.  
  17. Let me be with him or her.
  18. Don’t keep me from him or her.
  19. Not in the hospital or our own home.
  20. Not in insurance, banking, or matters legal.
  21. What God has joined together,
  22. Let no one put asunder.
  23. Please don’t tell me I can’t love him or her.
